What Is Inside the HP Element Exchange Kit
A rotor element stays sealed through a stack of elastomer rings and gaskets. During an overhaul, renew those parts as a set, not one at a time. The 2906048500 kit supplies the full sealing set for the high-pressure element from the published bill of materials.

The kit is a matched seal set, so every O-ring is sized to its bore by the kit design. Fit each one to its original location during reassembly. The two Dowty bonded seals wrap a rubber element inside a metal face. They seal the small process and oil ports on the element where a plain washer would weep.
Why Renew the Full Set at Once
An element seal does not fail on a calendar. Every O-ring, gasket and Dowty washer in the 2906048500 kit ages together under the same pressure and temperature, so they reach the end of their useful life around the same time. Fitting the full set in one overhaul means the new elastomers age at the same rate, and the element stays sealed for the whole service interval that follows.
Replacing a single leaking ring leaves the rest of the old set in service. The next failure simply moves to a neighbouring aged O-ring, and the compressor comes back down before its planned hour. Application on ZR and ZT Oil-Free Compressors
ZR and ZT machines are two-stage oil-free screw compressors. The low-pressure stage feeds the high-pressure stage, and each stage runs its own rotor element. The 2906048500 kit serves the HP (high-pressure) element only. A matching LP kit covers the low-pressure element, and the two are not interchangeable.
Because the compressor is oil-free, the air path must stay clear of lubricant. The element seals sit between the rotor housing, the end covers and the process connections. When they age, the risk is not only a pressure leak but oil reaching the air side. A complete reseal with this kit protects both the pressure boundary and the oil-free rating.
