For dry particulate, the DDp+ and PDp+ dust filters in the same family reach 99.92% and 99.98% efficiency at the MPPS point, at 49 mbar and 56 mbar respectively. The UD2500+F uses the oil-coalescing UD+ element; dust control is added by placing DDp+/PDp+ units downstream of the dryer.

Construction and Materials

The shell is a coated carbon-steel pressure vessel built to the nameplate ratings above. Inside, the UD+ element uses Nautilus multi-layer glass-fibre media on a stainless-steel core, with an epoxy-sealed cap and a corrosion-resistant outer shell. The wrap-style media gives a large surface in a compact body.

The stainless core and sealed cap keep the element rigid under flow pulses. The coated shell resists the damp, oily environment of a compressor room. Together they let the housing hold pressure for the full 15-year design life when serviced on schedule.
